SOSYAL SERMAYENİN ÖRGÜTSEL PERFORMANS VE ÖRGÜTSEL BAĞLILIK ÜZERİNDEKİ ETKİSİ: ŞANLIURFA BÜYÜKŞEHİR BELEDİYESİ ÖRNEĞİ

Abstract

Sosyal sermaye kavramı, temelinde güven, birlik ve bütünlük duygusunu barındıran, kişiler arasındaki işbirliğini teşvik eden ve bu sayede kişilerin birlikte çalışmasını mümkün kılan, hem toplumsal hem de ekonomik gelişmeye katkı sağlayan bir kavramdır. Sosyal sermaye kavramının, farklı disiplinler arasında oldukça fazla dikkat çektiği görülmektedir. Bunun nedeni, sosyal sermayenin hem kişi performansını hem de örgüt performansını olumlu yönde etkilemesidir. Ayrıca sosyal sermaye kavramı, örgütlerde performansın arttırılması için gerekli olan maddi ve maddi olmayan varlıkları elde etmede önemli bir rol oynamaktadır. Örgütler için çalışanların duyguları, tutumları ve davranışları kritik bir öneme sahiptir. Örgütsel bağlılık, çalışanların sorumluluklarını yerine getirirken örgütün amaç ve hedeflerini göz önünde bulundurması ve gönüllü olarak hareket etmesi olarak ifade edilmektedir. Bu açıdan, örgütlerin hedeflere ulaşma konusunda örgütsel bağlılıkları olan çalışanlara sahip olmaları çok önemlidir. Bu bağlamda, daha yüksek bir sosyal sermaye teşvik edilerek örgütsel bağlılık arttırılabilmektedir. Bu çalışma, sosyal sermaye ile örgütsel bağlılık ve sosyal sermaye ile örgütsel performans arasında ilişki olup olmadığının ve sosyal sermayenin, örgütsel bağlılık ve örgütsel performans üzerindeki etkisinin tespit edilmesi amacıyla yapılmıştır. Çalışmanın uygulama kısmında değişkenler arasındaki ilişkiyi test etmek amacıyla, Şanlıurfa Büyükşehir Belediyesi’nde çalışan personellerden oluşan 250 katılımcıya anket çalışması uygulanmıştır. Anket yoluyla elde edilen veriler SPSS 18 paket programıyla analiz edilmiştir. Daha sonra ölçeklerin güvenirlilikleri test edilmiş, frekans analizi, korelasyon ve regresyon analizleri yapılmıştır, elde edilen araştırma bulguları ise son bölümde sunulmuştur.

Abstract

The concept of social capital is a concept that embodies a sense of trust, unity and integrity, promotes cooperation between individuals, and thus enables people to work together, contributing to both social and economic development. It is seen that the concept of social capital attracts a lot among different disciplines. This is because social capital positively affects both individual performance and organizational performance. In addition, the concept of social capital plays an important role in obtaining the tangible and intangible assets required to increase performance in organizations. It is very important for organizations to have employees with organizational commitments in reaching the goals. In this context, organizational commitment can be increased by promoting a higher social capital. This study was carried out to determine whether there is a relationship between social capital and organizational commitment and social capital and organizational performance and the effect of social capital on organizational commitment and organizational performance. In order to test the relationship between the variables in the application part of the study, a questionnaire study was applied to 250 participants consisting of the staff working in Şanlıurfa Metropolitan Municipality.The data obtained through the survey were analyzed with the SPSS 18 package program. Then, the reliability of the scales were tested, frequency analysis, correlation and regression analysis were made, and the research findings were presented in the last section.
