TÜRKİYE’DE AKTİF YARIŞAN BİSİKLETÇİLERE UYGULANAN ALTI HAFTALIK YÜKSEK ŞİDDETLİ İNTERVAL ANTRENMANLARIN (HIIT) FTP DEĞERLERİ ÜZERİNE ETKİSİ

Abstract

Bu araştırmanın amacı Türkiye’de aktif olarak yarışan bisikletçilere uygulanan 6 haftalık yüksek şiddetli interval antrenmanların Fonctional Threshold Power (FTP) değerleri üzerine etkisinin incelenmesidir. Çalışmaya ulusal ve uluslararası düzeyde aktif olarak yarışan 18 erkek bisikletçi gönüllü olarak katılmıştır. Araştırmaya katılan bisikletçilerin yaş ortalamaları 27,22±7,88 yıl, vücut ağırlığı ortalamaları 71,77±4,39 kg, boy ortalamaları ise 179,388±5,68 cm olarak tespit edilmiştir. Bisikletçilere ön test ve son test uygulayarak Garmin connect uygulamasından farklı cihazlarla (Stage, Magene, Fsa, Quarq, 4iii) antrenman esnasında en iyi 5 saniye, en iyi 1 dakika ve en iyi 5 dakika Watt değerleri alınmıştır. Bisikletçilere 6 hafta boyunca interval antrenman programı uygulandı. Elde edilen verilerin analizinde SPSS 22.0 paket programında verilerin normal dağılımını anlamak için Shapiro-Wilk testi ve sporcuların FTP değerleri arasındaki farklılıkları belirleyebilmek için bağımsız örneklem t- testi kullanılmıştır. Bisikletçilerin 6 hafta sonunda tüm parametrelerde (5 saniye, 1 dakika ve 5 dakika Watt değerleri) istatistiksel olarak pozitif yönde anlamlı farklılık bulunmuştur (p<0.05). Sonuç olarak bisikletçilere uygulanan 6 haftalık yüksek şiddetli interval antrenman programı performans değerlerini olumlu yönde etkilediği görülmüştür.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to examine the effect of 6-week high-intensity interval training applied to actively competing cyclists in Turkey on Functional Threshold Power (FTP) values. Eighteen male cyclists actively competing at national and international levels participated in the study voluntarily. The mean age of the cyclists participating in the study was 27.22±7.88 years, their average body weight was 71.77±4.39 kg, and their average height was 179.388±5.68 cm. By applying pre-test and post-test to cyclists, Watt values were obtained from Garmin connect application with different devices (Stage, Magene, Fsa, Quarq, 4iii) for the best 5 seconds, the best 1 minute and the best 5 minutes. An interval training program was applied to the cyclists for 6 weeks. In the analysis of the data obtained, the Shapiro-Wilk test was used to understand the normal distribution of the data in the SPSS 22.0 package program, and the independent sample t-test was used to determine the differences between the FTP values of the athletes. At the end of 6 weeks, there was a statistically significant difference in all parameters (5 seconds, 1 minute and 5 minutes Watt values) of the cyclists (p<0.05). As a result, it was seen that the 6-week high-intensity interval training program applied to cyclists had a positive effect on performance values.
